LEE DUGUID

JAMES MORGAN PHOTOGRAPHIC CONSULTANTCY
Having traded in his first computer (a birthday present from his well-meaning parents) for a Praktica SLR camera, James Morgan began working at the London Times and Sunday Times newspapers at the tender age of sixteen. Within 18 months James was voted the UK's Newspapers Young Photographer of the Year. Over the ensuing ten years with the papers he captured a diverse range of people & events; Thatcher, Reagan, Gorbachev, the Royal family, Lockerbie, the IRA bombing campaign, the Cannes Film Festival, the opening of ‘Phantom of The Opera’ on Broadway, Milan Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, and more.
In 1998 James was appointed as Chief Photographer to the Walt Disney Company in Paris, advising Disney's management team on image selection at the Paris theme park and across its global portfolio, including the launch of Animal Kingdom in Florida and the launch of Disney Cruise Lines. As a result, he became Head of Press and PR for Disneyland Paris for the UK and Ireland - a welcome break from the camera. Built on this solid background of photographic and PR work, James subsequently established the James Morgan Photographic Consultancy, operating out of London and Sydney.
